“cuddle” is a brand curated by Yukiko Niimura, the third-generation proprietress of a high-end Japanese restaurant founded in 1933 in Kagoshima, Japan. During her student years, she lived in the UK. It is this hybrid sensibility developed in these environments that is infused into the ‘cuddle’ brand. “cuddle Products” involve collaborations with outstanding artisans she has encountered throughout Japan, particularly in Kagoshima, to develop and design genuine “cuddle original products” that showcase their craftsmanship. This “cuddle” set includes: Cuddle Essential Blended Japanese Dashi Powder in Can (60g) Dashi forms the base for miso soup, clear broth soup, noodle broth soup, and many simmering liquids to accentuate the savory flavor known as umami. Dashi is also mixed into the flour base of some grilled foods like okonomiyaki and takoyaki. With this special blended soy sauce, cooking is easier and more enjoyable! Cooking Tip: To make Teriyaki Sauce: Prepare 100 ml of the blended soy sauce, 30 ml water and 3g potato starch.
