Coast Aran Yarn Aran yarn (by Baa Ram Ewe) is the original 100% wool yarn traditionally used to knit cable sweaters in coastal regions of Britain and Ireland, with the Irish island of Aran giving it its name. Aran yarn has always been worsted spun and hank dyed, ours follows these traditional methods with an additional organic based softener that’s applied after dying. The Coast Aran Yarn shades in this range are inspired by fishermen and the coastline. 100% of our wool comes from non-mulesed sheep.
